As we bid farewell to 2024, my friends, here’s some food for thought. My mom, Sinus, seems to be crumbling under the weight of all the partying — or maybe just the relentless peer pressure to join in. Don’t let that happen to you. Let this New Year’s Eve be different. Say “no” to peer pressure. You heard me clearly — a big, emphatic “NO!”

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Not that my mom seems to notice my protests. She’s too engrossed in her phone to pay attention to my barks — or my wagging tail. It’s as though my attempts at communication mean nothing to her. (How hard is it to decode a bark or two?)

Have you been wondering where I’ve been all these months? Let me tell you, it hasn’t been easy. I’ve been running from pillar to post, trying to get my paws on a computer to post on Medium. But with my mom locking up the iPad every night, my connection to my Medium buddies has been sadly cut off.

I hope she realizes in the new year that even puppies need digital stimulation. While she’s on her self-imposed social media detox, maybe — just maybe — I can sneak in some time…
