As excited as we were to play with our new puppy adopted from the local shelter, the puppy was overly excited too. Our puppy being friendly, wanted to look out of the window facing the front of the house to satisfy her curiosity.

On one cool weekday morning when the window was open, she sighted a puppy in the house across the street. She decided it was time to meet and greet the furry neighbor. She jumped through the window screen and made it across the road safely. But we were concerned and darted outside with treats and a leash to bring her back safely.

We lived on a quiet street, but anything and anybody could get run over during the commute hours. By God’s grace, we got her home, and she did get a little lecture from her mom. But she did not understand, nor did she care. She was satisfied and pleased about making a new friend.

A friend of ours had an incident with their puppy. It was in the same week as well. Their puppy escaped through the hole in the fence from the confinement. Our friends chased him quite far, captured him, and along with the chase, got their morning exercise. They did not care about the unplanned jog as they were joyous to have him back safely.
