MS Word replaced typewriters, calculators replaced abacus, and in this progression, a few now rely on spell checkers and perform basic arithmatic on calculators- but we cannot deny the speed at which we can do things now. Likewise, in a few years, AI will help identify the gaps even in the areas where humans are known to identify with some reasonable precision. But we need data to train the AI models, without compromising privacy (is that relevant in this digital age?), and then ethics - a big debate (do we have time for it?). Can we let other (evil) nations get ahead? No, we should not. We need to leverage AI where possible in education to meet and exceed our goals in education as well.
Thank you for sharing this interesting piece, dear Cipher Max.
Take care and stay safe!
