Mount Everest
and a mountain’s plea
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the documentary film 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible on Netflix. Nirmal Purja (aka Nims Purja), a Nepali mountaineer, goes on an impossible mission on a quest to summit fourteen of the world’s 8000-meter peaks in seven months.
As Nims climbs down Mount Everest after a seven-and-a-half-hour queue to get to the summit, he takes a photo of the traffic of folks close to the summit, which went viral after he posted it online. An article featured Nims Mount Everest traffic photo in NY Times.
Thankfully I watched the incredible sights from the summit of the fourteen peaks, all from the comfort of my home without freezing a limb.
