Heavy Downpour
Blessings from above
Crimson clouds doused by setting Sun
Soon turned gray with an absent Sun
At long last, I thought, here comes the rain
“Not today on you “— the weather report read
“I got to put out these wildfires”
Nature needs to help and heal itself
Mankind is not kind enough
After a calm clear silent starry night
Moonbeams danced on cotton clouds
A walk in the night with
No wind against my cheeks
“No rain will not make its way here”
My thoughts, I slept into the silent night
Winds blew all the clouds here
I woke up to soothing sounds of the rain
The receded rain left us a little cleaner
A promise to return to improve us
“I washed your sins as much as I could
It takes plenty more visits for purity
Until then use the puddles here
I last long when used sparingly”
The sounds of rain still in my head
Days will not be dreary or dark
Sun is just behind the clouds
The rain showered us much needed
Blessings from above!
Thanks for reading. 🙏
